Accelerating Clean Energy (ACE) 2024 is WRI India’s flagship annual event focused on the latest research and discussions about energy transitions globally and what they mean for India. This year’s event will center on how we can make the shift to clean energy fair and inclusive for everyone.
At ACE 2024, we’ll explore the latest in technology that can help decarbonize our economy and the opportunities and challenges we face in making these changes happen. We’ll dive into the progress of new technologies and discuss the critical roles of finance, carbon markets, and regulations in supporting India’s energy transition. We’ll also look at how we can reduce carbon emissions in buildings, both from the materials used and from day-to-day operations.
We understand that energy systems are deeply connected with human systems. That’s why it’s essential that India’s transition to renewable energy benefits all parts of society. We need a comprehensive approach that considers food, land, and water issues, ensuring that our energy transition also supports food and water security while creating new jobs and opportunities, especially for the bottom half of the population.
ACE 2024 will bring together key stakeholders, including government officials, scientists, academics, industry leaders, and thinkers. They will share insights and reflect on how we can drive a system-wide energy transition.
With India’s goal of reaching 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, there’s a big opportunity to link our decarbonization goals with broader concerns like healthcare, livelihoods, education, and general welfare. ACE 2024 aims to address these issues through meaningful discussions, helping the country manage these changes and ensuring everyone benefits from a sustainable economy.
