Event Objective: Showcase update on SDG 12 global progress, Gaps in its implementation and policy recommendations to drive SDG 12 progress… Integrating private sector data into national policymaking and SDG monitoring processes…

GRI and UNEP One Planet Network will convene experts in this webinar from different backgrounds in a policy dialogue to assess the global progress of SDG 12.6 implementation and explore interconnections with SDG 17. UNEP will provide an update on SDG 12.1 progress. GRI will present insights from VNRs conducted by Member States in 2023, focusing on business contribution to the SDGs and sustainability information in VNRs. Government representatives and capital market regulators will reflect on the need for enhanced sustainability disclosures and regulatory frameworks to enable robust measurement and facilitate accurate assessment of sustainable development progress while ensuring alignment with globally agreed goals and transition plans.
